Who is Tammie?

As a kid, my most favorite thing was brand new box of crayons. I loved the smell, the bright colors, their pointy tips, and the endless possibilities that a day of coloring had in store for me. I’m a dreamer, a Libra, an empath, a visual learner, a lover of animals, roller coasters, literature, music, and, of course, art.

Painting has helped me get through some of the most difficult times of my life. Creating art has brought me so much peace during times of sadness, fear, anxiety, and chaos. Believe me, I’ve got words! But sometimes, language fails even me and the colors and textures provide a different outlet for self-expression. Painting temporarily takes my focus away from my worries and puts it on the process of creating something beautiful. During that process, I become captivated and tranquil. Often the clarity that I’ve been seeking reveals itself.
